In early September, Winnie was in Jiayuguan Pass in Gansu Province of China to sing in a concert. Jiayuguan Pass, located in Gobi Desert, is the largest and most intact entrance, of the Great Wall.  As it was built near the most extreme western edge of China, it became the first pass on the western end of the great wall. With that, it was named "The First And Greatest Pass Under Heaven."

As Winnie had never been to this historic and magnificent city, she was attracted by all the novelties around her.  As she stepped out of the Pass, she was awed by the majestic and unending stretch of desert right before her eyes.  When she saw a train of camels, she was filled with much excitement and decided to ride on one.  After she has mounted onto the back of the camel, while the camel was getting up on its feet, Winnie became so frightened by the height and great movement that she exclaimed unthinkingly, "How come it's moving?" The old lady driver replied in a screech, "It is alive, of course it will move!"

After taking a few photos, Winnie asked to get down quickly. "Feels very unsteady on that soft hump, quite scary," she said.

Jiayuguan has remained a rough and rural area till date, as such the facilities at the concert venue was pretty basic.  The artistes' rest area was set up from a tent which somehow looked like a ger, (home of a Mongolian) and the lighting consisted of just a table lamp.  In the tent, she could hear the wind howling outside.  At the stylist's suggestion, she decided to get out of the tent and see how strong the wind was, before deciding on the most appropriate kind of hair-do for the night.  On her way from the rest area to the stage, it was dark and the road was uneven.

Before everyone knew, Winnie tripped and fell, landing her knees on the hard stone pavement.  When the organisers saw that her left knee was bleeding, they quickly mobilised three medics to attend to her injury.  Although she was feeling great pain and was worried that the bruises on her knee would leave a scar, she was nevertheless amused by the three "overly reactive and concerned" medics who were busy attending to her; it was after all only a minor injury but they gave her knee such a heavy bandage that made her look like she has a very serious fall.  Fortunately, Winnie has planned earlier on to put on a long skirt this time round instead of her usual shorts/ mini skirt.  Therefore, she was able to conceal her heavily bandaged knee beneath her long skirt.

At an elevation of more than 1000 metres above sea level where the air pressure is lower, one gets out of breath easier than usual. And as Winnie sang, she found that she had to breathe harder.  As a result, her face turned pale, like a sheet, and for a moment, her helpers thought that she lost too much blood from the cut on the knee.

After Winnie got off the stage after her performance, she decided to remove the bandage immediately.  She wanted to air the bruises so that there was be a lower chance of getting a scar on her knee later on.

The "Great" fall at "The First And Greatest Pass Under Heaven", this would certainly be one of Winnie's most "memorable" experience.
