Although Winnie has not been seen on media for a while, her songs can be heard everywhere, from advertisement jingles to movie and TV drama serial theme songs.

Amongst the several movie and TV drama serial soundtracks she has sung, a song which was used in the TV drama serial  "Legend of the Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre" became a hit after it was being aired in one of the episodes.  Feedback was tremendous and the TV station replaced the original show-end track with this song of Winnie's.  The sales of the soundtrack album which included this song also picked up correspondingly.

After joining Rock records for about a year, besides recording the three movie soundtracks, one TV drama serial theme song and one song in a compilation album, Winnie has yet to release her very own album; this kept her fans waiting and longing.  And it appears that this has got to do with Jonathan Lee, the very same person who led her to join the company.

One day, on his way to the record company, while he was in the cab, Jonathan was attracted to a beautiful female vocal through a song played over the radio.  When the song ended, the radio deejay said, "the song we just heard is Winnie Hsin's 'selfish' ."  Immediately, Jonathan got the cab driver to drive him to the nearest record shop so that he may get a copy of Winnie's album.

Back in the record company,  Jonathan listened to Winnie's album over and over again.  In the end, he decided to make a phone call to Winnie's record company.  From some sources, he found out that Winnie's contract with the record company was coming to an end. Hence, he arranged to Winnie to discuss on her future plans.

Winnie recalled that she was so nervous about their first meeting that she was at a loss of what to wear.  Subsequently, she also heard from other sources that Jonathan was nervous too and kept finding out more about her from those around him.

After joining Rock Records, for a start, the record company arranged for her to sing movie soundtracks.  When it was time for her to cut her own album, Jonathan, who promised to be her producer, was about to leave the record company.  In the end, another producer who originally intended to migrate to Canada, stayed behind to help her with her new album.

Although Jonathan had not praised her vocal in her face, but the fact that he had led her to join Rock records and even sang a duet with her in his ten-year commemorative album, Winnie could tell that this producer (who is known to be picky and who has extremely high standards) has a certain admiration for her vocal.

Winnie's voice range is very wide and is able to sing from low La and hit a high La.  She feels that the quality of one's vocal is innate, but with practice and hardwork, the techniques of singing can be further improved.  Since young, Winnie's heavenly vocal has not gone unnoticed.  Even when she was still in Primary two, she was asked to sing solo in her school's Mother Day celebration concert.

Although Winnie has not been singing advertisement jingles for quite a while, in her new album which is set to be released in August, a new advertisement jingle has been included.  A male duet group had been singing the advertisement jingles for a certain local soft drink company for several summers and when the soft drink company decided to go for a female vocal this year, Winnie's been selected.

Winnie is rather experienced in recording advertisement jingles as she had been doing so since her second year in the university.  She shared that, in the past, advertisement jingles tend to comprise of just a few lines.  She describes the recording experience as very exciting as the singer usually  does not get the lyrics before entering the studio.  In addition, the lyrics tend to be amended and refined on the spot at the time of recording.  However, although it may just be a few lines, the jingles are usually tailor-made and composed by established music makers.  She had the opportunity of working with several very well-known and respectable names through such opportunities.

Even though Winnie has since young been trained in classical music, her parents nevertheless has been been very supportive of her entering the field of pop music.  Winnie shared that whenever her album was released, her family would go and buy her new album.  Initially, Winnie told them that they need not buy from the shops as she could give the albums to them.  Later, she began to realise that this is their way of showing their support towards her.

After Winnie graduated from the university, she qualified herself as a teacher in the renowned Yamaha Music School and taught music for close to ten years.  Therefore she has in fact spent more time being a teacher than being a singer.

Recalling on her childhood days, Winnie relates that she took up ballet when she was in Primary One as she loved the ballet Tutu; when she was in Primary Two, she fell in love with violin and picked up learning the violin.  As she was staying in a rural town in Taichung at that time, when her ballet and violin teacher was transferred and there were no more such teachers in the town, she could not continue learning.

She also recalled that, before Winnie's parents agreed to her learning the piano, she would go to her classmate's house to play the piano every afternoon after school.  When she is at home, she would pretend that the table is a piano and start "playing the piano".  When her parents saw her enthusiasm, they decided to send her to learn piano and this time round, she persisted in learning till she became a teacher.
